Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has significantly transformed the way communication is conducted, particularly in the education field. As a communications tool, ICT supports faster, broader, and more interactive means of communication, eliminating time and distance constraints. My reflection on ICT as a communications tool focuses on its impact in personal and professional contexts, especially in education. One of ICT's most potent applications is its connectivity to unite people globally. Communication has gone from being a delay to a real-time instant via emails, video conferencing, messaging apps, and social media platforms. In the academic environment, communication has facilitated real-time student-teacher contact even in offline environments. Facebook created the messaging app Messenger. I can share files, videos, and images with others, send text messages, and make voice and video calls with it. It is compatible with computers, tablets, and smartphones, making it simple to stay connected from any location. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is an active tool which can empower students to learn by doing. When employed as a tool of constructive learning, ICT allows students to construct their own knowledge rather than being instructed by the teacher. It enhances learning as an active process, which is creative and student-oriented. The application of ICT can facilitate positive learning by allowing students to organize and present their thoughts. For example, mind-mapping tools like Popplet or Coggle allow students to create diagrams showing relationships among different ideas. Presentation tools like PowerPoint and Canva allow students to make slides to outline what they have learned. ICT helps students think logically and express what they know in their own words. ICT makes project work and group learning possible. It is possible for students to research on the internet, work on group projects via Google Docs, and present their research in the form of videos or posters. Th...
